shahrozhaider26 asked: hey no hate just a neutral curious question. obviously u loved avengers and x-men franchises but really i think that for the past years we are seeing x-titles number becoming less and less or they are again not been given a more important role like avengers. what would u say? i mean after house of M there wasnt any annual event centred on x-family (apart from AvX). avengers are given main role in each universe spanning event. so u think will x-family be given a major annual event like that soon?

brevoortformspring:

If you’re seeing the X-titles become less and less, you’re not looking at the same Previews catalogue and release schedule that I am. Heck, the checklist that often gets run in the X-titles is longer than the one we often run in the AVENGERS books. The other difference is one of concept. The concept of AVENGERS, at its core, is about all of the biggest characters in one series. So when AVENGERS does an Event, it is natural for it to involve players across the Marvel universe. The concept of X-MEN is, at its core, about the experiences of a minority. So it is natural that, when X-MEN does an Event, it tends to remain among the X-titles—it doesn’t make a lot of sense for, say, Daredevil to get involved with a situation that’s by definition about mutants, whereas its much easier for him to get involved in a situation that’s about Earth’s Mightiest Heroes meeting some threat.
